《毀滅戰士》系列新作《毀滅戰士：黑暗時代》現已正式發售，此前報道了《毀滅戰士 黑暗時代》實體版碟竟只有85MB下載憑證?的新聞，由於《毀滅戰士：黑暗時代》的實體版只有極少量的數據，很多內容還需要在線下載，無法直接從光盤遊玩，引發眾多玩家吐槽。
專注於遊戲保護的推主@DoesItPlay1日前發文，說道：「《毀滅戰士：黑暗時代》實體版的發售不太順利，大量玩家取消預購或直接跳過《毀滅戰士：黑暗時代》的情況非常嚴重。我們的小圈子裡總能看到這類抱怨，但這次的人數實在誇張，只能希望官方正在密切關注此事。」
