Yeah, exactly. The level design in Wuchang was incredible and honestly one of its strongest parts.
I’ll just say this about Khazan: it probably has the best boss fights outside of FromSoftware’s own games. They’re brutal too haha. For me it’s the hardest soulslike I’ve ever beaten. Even Sekiro’s final boss doesn’t compare to Khazan in terms of difficulty.

I’m really disappointed with the news and the rumors around The First Berserker: Khazan and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. We’ve had plenty of bad soulslikes over the years, but these two were not part of that. The devs cooked, delivered, and deserved real support from their executives. I bought both on day one and I don’t regret it at all. What hurts is knowing we’ll probably never see new content or sequels. Khazan’s team already moved on to live service work, and Wuchang is stuck in rumors that don’t sound great. Nothing confirmed, but the vibe is not good. People say players are tired of soulslikes, but that’s not the issue. The real problem is executives expecting every game to perform like a blockbuster, and when it doesn’t, they instantly lose patience instead of letting their devs build on the foundation with a sequel or even a spin off. There was something solid here.
