9月15日，第77屆艾美獎頒獎典禮期間，知名外媒Variety採訪了X戰警系列電影中「鐳射眼」的演員詹姆士·馬斯登，談論關於回歸《復仇者聯盟5：毀滅之日》的問題。
馬斯登向Variety表示，「我很興奮，能感受到這部作品意義非凡。全世界的影迷都已期待已久，漫威的多重宇宙即將碰撞交融。」
值得一提的是，馬斯登飾演的「鐳射眼」是老版的鐳射眼，X戰警系列電影曾挑選了默默無聞的年輕演員，後續也曾更換為更年輕的演員，然而老版的演員卻讓影迷們念念不忘。
