然而，主辦方使用AI生成賽事海報和參賽資格限定為「生理女性」、明確排除跨性別女性。批評聲浪迅速從四面八方湧來，有人指責賽事「跨性別歧視」，也有人呼籲抵制。
主辦方明確規定：僅限「生理女性」（biological female）報名，跨性別女性（ transgender women ）沒有參賽資格。這一條款迅速被部分社區成員貼上「跨性別恐懼」（transphobic）的標籤，並呼籲玩家聯合抵制這場賽事。
支持賽事規則的一方指出：主辦方只是一名17歲的年輕女孩，她完全有權利組織一場只允許生理女性參加的比賽——就像社會上長期存在「男子賽事」「女子賽事」一樣。支持者認為，保護生理女性在體育和競技中的公平空間是合理的，跨性別女性參與女子賽事本身就是一個爭議極大的話題，不應把矛頭指向一個未成年組織者。
