《天外世界2》現已正式解鎖發售，Steam國區標準版298元，高級版498元，自帶簡體中文，Steam綜合評價「特別好評」，中文區評價「多半好評」。
然而可能受首發登陸Game Pass的影響，《天外世界2》在PC Steam上的在線不是太理想。據SteamDB統計，《天外世界2》Steam首發在線僅1.3萬人，出現在4個小時以前，尚未超過前作《天外世界》，後者Steam峰值達到了2萬人。
《天外世界2》MTC評分83分，暫時沒有玩家評分。
