據透露，加油過程需玩家下車親自操作：將車停靠油槍旁後無法自動加油，角色必須熄火、下車並手動拿起油槍。加油配有完整電影化動畫，螢幕顯示帶倒計時的專用計時器，從空箱加滿約需10秒，玩家需按住R2（Xbox為RT）扳機維持加油動作。
燃油管理直接影響任務成敗，在執行高難度搶劫或跨州長途行動前，玩家必須提前檢查油量並規劃途經加油站的路線。如果行動前疏忽加油，追捕過程中可能因燃油耗盡導致發動機熄火，被困在路上。
