知名遊戲推主TCMFGames帶來了關於《戰神》新作的爆料，其中大部分傳聞都未經證實，一切消息還請以官方為準。
據爆料，這款遊戲名為《戰神：巨人崛起》（God of War : Rise of the Giants），將於PS5平台推出。玩家將在遊戲中操作阿特柔斯尋找巨人，這可能是老故事的結尾或者新故事的開頭。
此前彭博社知名遊戲記者Jason Schreier曾報道稱，《戰神》系列總監Cory Barlog正在為索尼聖莫尼卡工作室開發新作，並且至少在幾個月前「進展順利」。在後來的回應中，Schreier補充說這不是一個新IP，也不是一款科幻遊戲。
