1月15日上午消息，《魔獸世界》周年服的美服已更新至TBC前夕。前夕持續3周，為70天賦+60等級，外域待解鎖。截稿之時，國服還在維護中，不過伺服器已經可以刷出，只是離線狀態，有望在計劃的中午13點(維護24小時)前開服。
值得一提的是，由於數據遷移錯誤，這次的美服維護歷經幾次延長，大大超過了24小時，被稱作魔獸10年來最長一次。暴雪解釋原因是這次更新比較特殊，使用的是經典版資料庫，無法像往常一樣在懷舊服仍然運行的時候搭建新環境。經過漫長等待，美服已完成前夕更新。

With these sort of new environment deploys, we would normally have the environment up and running hidden weeks if not months ahead of a launch. The process we had to go through for this one, that whole utilizing Classic Eras database thing, meant we couldn't get this environment up running as we normally would while the realms were still active in Era. Now, we're dealing with a ton of small config and infrastructure type issues that we'd normally have ironed out over days/weeks getting things ready ahead of time and it is draining AF to be quite honest! Your characters are fine, and we will get this bastard out the door at some point. We fired Dave.
另外，據《魔獸世界》高級遊戲製作人Tom Ellis證實，美服和歐服的58級直升現已恢復正常。58級的單獨直升是周年服為迎接TBC新開的服務，美服售價60美元。在此之前，該服務出現Bug，美服很多人發現他們購買的直升無法使用，隨後暴雪把它跟改名服務一起關閉了。
And boost is live in EU and US, it got turned off again in US briefly there as config got clobbered by a different update. It you previous tried to use boost and it "did nothing" go again now.
Holy crap that was a loooong one, longest in hrm, a decade? We're live in US, and it's now stabilized, EU is going live any minute! Thank you all, and apologies. Breaking news is going out, but FYI boosts are disabled for the night, we think we've got them fixed up but everyone is fried so we'll get back into that tomorrow and hopefully get boosts rolling once again.
