The way Capcom seems to be handling Resident Evil protagonists is actually pretty interesting. For the past few years, the spotlight has clearly been on Leon with the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4, and then mainline story, Resident Evil Requiem. Now with Resident Evil Requiem, Leon is going to step back a bit, maybe retire or just rest for a long time. The next stretch of games is very much with Chris, Jill, Claire with remakes of Resident Evil Code: Veronica, Resident Evil Zero, and Resident Evil 1, followed by a Resident Evil 5 remake. And after all that, Resident Evil 10 could very well continue Chris’ storyline, according to Post Credit Scene in Requiem We’ve seen a lot of Leon over the past few, but the next focus will probably be on Chris, Claire and Jill. Honestly, in terms of story this is the first time we have seen Leon progress after Re6. We knew what was going on with Chris & his whole wolf squad. Chris was part of Re7 & majorly in Re8. On the contrary, we didn't know what Leon was upto. I think they should do more of Leon, especially now that he "feels better then he has in ages" & has a ring on his finger. Lots of opportunities to explore.
