對於曾經在TGA上作為大軸的《高嶺鐵衛》(Highguard)發售已經有兩周多,然而這款服務型遊戲並沒有激起什麼水花。面對如今低迷的玩家人數,開發商Wildlight雖然說還有一個橫跨兩年的單人模式計劃,但是根據前高級關卡設計師艾歷克斯·格拉納(Alex Graner)透露,工作室大部分員工都已經被解僱。

艾歷克斯·格拉納在其領英上發文表示他與Wildlight大部分團隊成員今日遭解僱。隨後Wildlight官方社交賬號也證實裁員,官方表示他們做出極其艱難的決定,與部分團隊成員分道揚鑣,保留核心開發團隊繼續推進遊戲創新與運營。

Today we made an incredibly difficult decision to part ways with a number of our team members while keeping a core group of developers to continue innovating on and supporting the game. We're proud of the team, talent, and the product we've created together. We're also grateful for players who gave the game a shot, and those who continue to be a part of our community.
根據SteamDB的統計,作為一款免費服務型遊戲,《高嶺鐵衛》Steam版首發玩家峰值為9萬7249,然而在兩周之後就已經跌至4524。對於這款遊戲,玩家反饋最初的3V3模式規模過小,而隨後官方更新的5V5也並沒有挽回玩家的熱情。
