西方遊戲行業DEI大行其道，很多經典性感角色被惡意醜化。這種現象層出不窮，也非常可悲地早已蔓延到了日本遊戲中。索尼、任天堂早已淪陷。
僅僅是今天的科隆展，《魔獸》《決勝時刻：黑色行動7》都出現了DEI女性形象，讓玩家避之不及
早先，SE《Final Fantasy VII：重生》的導演明確表示，他們的目標是「全球觀眾」，會對遊戲本身進行徹底的道德審查。而另外一家日本遊戲大廠Capcom屬於那種「只做不說」的，已經偷偷在遊戲中加入了很多DEI元素，就連今天發布的《鬼武者：劍之道》新宣傳片，也被玩家發現有明顯的DEI式女性形象。

推主@Mangalawyer指出《鬼武者：劍之道》被Capcom搞成「迎合現代觀眾」的樣子，完全在預料之中。在此之前，《鬼武者2》PC版早已遭到了和諧。
對此，留言區不少玩家留言，贊同和支持推主@Mangalawyer。有玩家表示Capcom搞DEI一直很穩定。

也有玩家認為《鬼武者：劍之道》預告片裡的女性看起來很像SIE Sucker Punch《羊蹄戰鬼》里的女主篤，言下之意，就是這些廠商刻意搞DEI，導致人物角色設計趨於同質化，毫無特色可言。

其實除了《鬼武者》，最近的Capcom遊戲《魔物獵人：荒野》也刻意加入了不少很有違和感的黑人角色，而更早之前的《死亡復甦：豪華復刻版》早已刪掉了原版遊戲中的「情色」拍照功能，而且部分NPC的服裝也被和諧。
