EA DICE工作室正式揭曉《戰地風雲6》，並確認遊戲將於10月10日發售，且不會採用80美元定價策略。發售平台包括Xbox Series X/S、PS5和PC（目前尚無登陸Switch 2的計劃）。
遊戲發售前將舉行公開測試，官方承諾此次公測將是「《戰地風雲》系列有史以來規模最大的一次」。時間與此前公布一致：第一階段：8月9日至10日、第二階段：8月14日至17日。
雖然測試的具體內容細節（地圖、模式等）尚未完全披露，但已確認將包含「專屬武器（Closed Weapons）」選項（即兵種限定武器）。製作人Alexia Christofi表示，測試中提供的武器將是「精簡版本」，數量「少於正式發售時的規模」。

在正式版中，玩家可選擇超過40種武器。每種武器初始配備基礎配件，隨著武器等級提升，將解鎖更多配件選項。Christofi還透露正式版將包含更多載具，具體詳情有待後續公布。
