據外媒GamesRadar消息，本周亞馬遜旗下的MMORPG熱門大作《新世界》對外宣布停止更新，同時還掀起了一波裁員潮。就在這一背景下，Riot Games聯合創始人Marc Merrill向這款MMO遊戲的開發者們拋出了橄欖枝。
在《新世界》停運的消息公布後，有玩家給Merrill發帖，建議他「趕緊把那些在行業浪潮中失意的開發者招過來」。Merrill很快做出回應：「這些團隊裡有哪些明星開發者?我們一直在尋覓那些願意直面最艱難挑戰、為最忠實玩家解決問題的S級人才。」

需要指出的是，Riot Games確實一直在開發一款以《英雄聯盟》為題材的MMO遊戲。儘管該遊戲自立項以來發展狀況不太順利，但項目並未被取消，目前仍在持續開發中。
