開發商寶可夢工作室（The Pokemon Works）宣布，《寶可夢：冠軍》將在後續補丁中推出多項重大漏洞修復。
工作室在最新部落格中表示，此次更新將修復部分技能異常、超進化相關問題，以及教學中部分寶可夢的性別顯示錯誤等問題。
Pokémon Champions developers confirm they are working on the following issues: - The description for the Leech Seed status is incorrect. Incorrect: 「Takes damage equal to 1/16 of max HP」 Correct: 「Takes damage equal to 1/8 of max HP」 Note: The correct calculation is being used during battle. - Under certain conditions, when both players’ Pokémon Mega Evolve at the same time, the order may become unintended. - Some Pokémon in the tutorial have incorrect gender labels. - Some Pokémon in published Coordinate Teams have incorrect gender labels. - When under the effect of Encore, the Ability Lightning Rod may not activate correctly. - During battle, if you view move details, place the cursor on 「Mega Evolution」, and then press the B Button, you may become unable to select a move. If this occurs, opening the surrender window with the 「-」 button and then closing it will allow move selection again, avoiding the locked state
完整修復清單如下：
- 「寄生種子」狀態描述錯誤。
錯誤描述：受到相當於最大HP 1/16的傷害
正確描述：受到相當於最大HP 1/8的傷害（註：戰鬥中的傷害計算無誤） - 在特定條件下，當兩隻寶可夢同時超進化時，進化順序可能出現異常。
- 教學中部分寶可夢的性別顯示錯誤。
- 已發布的協作團隊中，部分寶可夢的性別顯示錯誤。
- 處於「再來一次」狀態時，特性「避雷針」可能無法正常觸發。
- 戰鬥中查看技能詳情時，若將游標懸停在「超進化」上並按下B鍵，將無法選擇技能。
*若出現此現象，可通過按「-」鍵打開並關閉投降窗口，避免無法選擇技能的問題。
此外，部落格還提及一個漏洞：從寶可夢Home派遣寶可夢執行探險任務時，可能會彈出通信錯誤提示。
該部落格發布於遊戲發售僅一天後。目前玩家對這款遊戲的評價褒貶不一，不少玩家因性能問題、缺失物品及寶可夢等問題選擇棄坑。
