隨著《漫威金鋼狼》正式發售，遊戲對經典X戰警角色的重新塑造也不斷引發玩家討論。
近日，有海外玩家翻出遊戲演職員資料後發現，原作中以男性少年形象出現的「水蛭（Leech）」，在Insomniac版本中由演員Noga Wind出演，而對方公開使用she/they代詞，並長期參與酷兒相關藝術與倡議活動。

在漫畫以及經典動畫作品中，水蛭通常是生活在變種人社區中的年輕男孩，擁有抑制周圍變種人能力的特殊力量。
此前《漫威金鋼狼》的試玩內容中，水蛭也曾以年輕男孩形象亮相，因此這次正式作品中的角色呈現，被部分玩家視為對原作設定的一次明顯調整。
演員Noga Wind的個人資料顯示，其自稱演員、編劇、製作人、「變裝皇后」表演者以及酷兒活動人士，並公開使用she/they代詞。
相關資料也顯示，Wind參與了《漫威金鋼狼》中水蛭的演出。
這一變化迅速在社交平台引發爭論。
部分玩家認為，只要角色在劇情中的表現成立，對原作外形、性別等細節進行重新詮釋並非不能接受；但也有人認為，經典角色已經擁有較為明確的漫畫形象，遊戲改編應該儘量尊重原有設定。不過更多的玩家則是直白的表達了對DEI的憤怒：毀滅吧！
