作為業內權威爆料人士，湯姆·亨德森此前曾多次準確預測遊戲行業動向。其創辦的insider-gaming網站以提供獨家遊戲資訊著稱，該平台特別設置了獨立板塊，分別展示網站獨家消息和其他爆料人的資訊，確保資訊來源的清晰可辨。
需要注意的是，《飆酷車神》系列近年來因伺服器關閉問題備受爭議。2023年12月，育碧在未提前告知的情況下將初代《飆酷車神》從數字商店下架，並宣布將於2024年4月終止遊戲服務運營。
這一決定隨即招致玩家強烈反對，部分用戶發起集體訴訟，指控育碧違反消費者權益保護法規。訴訟方認為，育碧在銷售過程中存在誤導行為，使消費者誤以為購買的是完整遊戲產品，實則僅獲得受公司運營決策限制的有限使用權。
針對相關爭議，育碧於今年2月發表官方聲明，明確表示玩家購買的是遊戲有限使用權而非永久所有權。這一表態進一步激化了公司與玩家群體之間的矛盾。
