瑞典VR遊戲公司Fast Travel Games於今年2月大幅裁員，隨後宣布去年推出的VR多人聯機遊戲《Mannequin》從買斷制改為F2P制，以尋求商業模式的新嘗試。免費的基礎版用戶如想獲得更多功能、地圖和自定義選項，則需支付9美元升級至高級版。
近日該公司宣布，在《Mannequin》轉為免費遊戲的3周時間內，已在Quest平台就獲得了超過10萬的新用戶。「我們非常感謝每一位玩家，也為我們敬業的開發人員感到高興，因為他們的創作得到了應有的關注！」
這一轉變正值許多優質遊戲在Horizon Store中舉步維艱、免費遊戲成為主流之際。Fast Travel Games似乎已從戰略上獲得回報，但如何將增加的玩家數量轉化為收入仍有待觀察。
