在任天堂Switch 2的直面會上，任天堂官方正式對外宣布，部分Switch 1遊戲將會推出「Switch 2版」。
在此之前，曾有報道提及，任天堂客服代表透露了實體版的相關具體內容，還表示Switch 2版的升級包會以「下載碼」的形式提供給玩家。
然而，近期又有了新的動態。
任天堂英國官方目前已經證實，Switch 1遊戲的Switch 2版將會把遊戲卡帶上的所有內容都涵蓋在內。

也就是說，Switch 2版本的實體遊戲不僅包含Switch 1原版遊戲，還會將升級包一併存儲在同一張遊戲卡帶上。除此之外，部分發行商也可能會選擇以實體包裝內附帶下載碼的方式來發行Switch 2版遊戲，不過這類包裝里將不會包含遊戲卡帶。
