《邊緣禁地4》終將迎來拍照模式——只是不會在首發時實裝。當遊戲疑似缺少拍照模式的消息在社交媒體發酵後，Gearbox開發團隊終於出面確認該功能將通過後續更新加入。

創意總監Graeme Timmins在推文中表示："各位玩家，在此確認拍照模式將會登陸《邊緣禁地4》，我們計劃在遊戲發售後通過更新補丁添加該功能"。Gearbox官方賬號也轉發了這一聲明。目前尚不清楚"無拍照模式"的傳言源頭，但本周確實成為了玩家社區的討論焦點。對部分玩家而言，這個能暫停遊戲細看傷害數字的功能至關重要——儘管Gearbox表示會提供更精準的DPS評估方式——其缺席可能性甚至促使模改作者Epic NNG承諾嘗試自製該功能。
最終玩家無需再依賴模改方案。但為何拍照模式未能趕上首發？Timmins在後續推文中解釋道："我優先讓團隊打磨了更核心的即時體驗要素。拍照模式早有規劃且已立項，但我們決定先集中精力提升直接影響遊戲體驗的品質。"

《邊緣禁地4》將於2025年9月12日登陸PS5/Xbox Series X/S/PC平台，之後也會推出Switch 2版本。
