在昨日舉行的新一期State of Play發布會上，《Final Fantasy VII：啟示》《赤血沙漠》《魔物獵人：荒野》以及索尼第一方作品《漫威金鋼狼》《羊蹄山戰鬼完全版》等公開了全新情報與演示。
不過，本次發布會結束後，部分玩家卻認為整體內容缺乏足夠的驚喜，尤其是備受期待的索尼第一方重磅作品並未亮相。
有玩家指出，《羊蹄山戰鬼完全版》本質上是此前已經發售的作品，即便此次帶來了新內容，也很難成為足以撐起發布會的全新驚喜。
不少玩家原本更期待看到頑皮狗新作《星際：異端先知》以及《戰神》新作的進一步情報，但最終兩款作品均沒有出現。
一位推主更是直接銳評稱：「除了少數幾款優秀遊戲之外，這可能是有史以來最糟糕的一次State of Play。我認為這一次真的糟糕到無可爭議。」
有玩家還特別批評了《羊蹄山戰鬼完全版》的展示環節，認為這部分內容「浪費了時間和頻寬」。

另一位玩家則給本次State of Play打出了2分（滿分10分），並列出了多項不滿，包括遊戲發布會上突然出現《惡靈古堡》真人電影片段、此前已經公布的獨占遊戲加入新功能，以及《星際：異端先知》和《戰神》新作均未公布新情報。
此外，該玩家還認為《漫威金鋼狼》再次公開預告缺乏新鮮感。
不過，他同時肯定了《地鐵 2039》的表現，並表示《GTA6》主題DualSense控制器的公布屬於意外驚喜。

還有玩家認為，問題或許並不完全出在State of Play本身，而是玩家對於索尼發布會的期待已經發生了變化。
他表示：「說實話，問題在於我們的期待永遠停留在2018年。如今，索尼會把那些規模最大的第一方重磅作品留到專門的發布會上進行展示，因此現在的State of Play更像是一段加長版商業廣告，而不是讓玩家真正興奮的活動。」
當然，也有玩家對本次發布會持相對積極的態度。
一名博主表示，自己非常高興能夠看到更多《Final Fantasy VII：啟示》的內容，但整體而言，本次State of Play以及State of Play Japan的時長都有些過長，而真正意義上的重大新消息卻並不多。
I was very happy to see more FF7 Revelation but overall I think the State of Play and State of Play Japan were way too long with only a few big new announcements. Also starting with a movie set the wrong tone and the LEGO segment was too much as well. I think they should have told people how long it was going to be before to respect people’s time IMO.
