My biggest criticism for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced so far is the cutscenes quality in the new side missions For some reason that I cannot comprehend, they are not motion captured and instead use the RPG generic cutscene system Edward moves and is animated like Kassandra with a constant creepy smile, it stands out so badly especially because the main story cutscenes have kept the gorgeous original motion capture that look like lifelike to this day, making these seem even more awkward to be in the same game. They are better than they were in Shadows but still not as good as real cutscenes. The argument could be that its side content so its OK but all side content in AC4 was motion captured fully, like the Templar Hunts. I literally cannot understand why modern Ubisoft refuses to step into the mocap booth for new stuff, surely this is the most important thing for a remake is for new content to match up to the old? Now, my biggest fear is this cutscene qualith is in the 8 new main story missions, it will result in these new missions standing out in every possible BAD way from the main game. Potentially being a stain on the whole experience. I truly hope these missions got the respect and attention that they should have, otherwise, anything else would be a downgrade from the original.

Notice all the details. Characters walking back and forth, the ship rocking whilst docked, props being used, the natural head/arm gestures, all of these little things can elevate a completely standard scene.
