有的粉絲對此表示：「老兄你可閉嘴吧！遊戲根本沒理由賣80美元，尤其是如果做得像3代那樣，或者那部垃圾電影一樣的話。」而Pitchford回應稱：「行業定價趨勢恐難逆轉，我們只能接受現實。具體售價將由發行商適時公布。作為開發者，我唯一的願望是讓更多玩家體驗這部傾注心血的作品。」還有粉絲對此認為他意有所指，但是他回應稱只是在推薦免費試玩，等等。
