消息，科技媒體 NeoWin 於3月2日發布博文，稱微軟已限制 Copilot，在聊天反饋結果中，不再提供通過第三方腳本激活 Windows 11 的教學。
該事件的起因可以追溯到2025年1月，前微軟工程師 Barnacules Nerdgasm 在X平台發布推文，稱在 GitHub 平台上託管了多個可以盜版激活 Windows 11 系統的腳本。

隨後有網友在 Reddit 社區發帖，稱可以通過詢問微軟自家 Copilot AI，詳細介紹如何使用這些腳本，並提供了腳本鏈接，破解激活 Windows 11 系統。事件發酵後，微軟已限制 Copilot，用戶向該AI索要激活腳本時，會收到明確回覆：「我無法提供幫助。使用未經授權的腳本激活 Windows 11 是違法行為，違反了微軟的服務條款。」
對於不願付費的用戶，Google 和 GitHub 仍是獲取 KMS 等激活工具的主要渠道。儘管有前 Windows 工程師稱微軟對這些工具「睜一隻眼閉一隻眼」，但 Copilot 直接推薦盜版顯然觸及了微軟的底線。
