曾打造《人中之龍》系列的知名遊戲製作人名越稔洋，其旗下名越工作室官方網站關閉、YouTube頻道清空，甚至連谷歌地圖都顯示「永久停業」。而名越稔洋這位日本遊戲界的傳奇人物，如今去向成謎。
Nagoshi Studios, the company founded by Yakuza series creator Toshihiro Nagoshi, has permanently closed. The studio’s Google business listing in Tokyo’s Ebisu district now displays a 「Permanently closed」 notice. NetEase ended all funding after determining that the studio’s debut project, Gang of Dragon, would require an additional ¥7 billion (around $44 million) to complete. No new publisher or investor was secured. The studio’s official website is now offline, its YouTube channel has been deleted along with all trailers and related content, and there has been no official statement from Nagoshi or the company.
2021年，名越稔洋離開工作了30餘年的世嘉成立了名越工作室，號稱要打造不遜於《人中之龍》的全新IP。然而四年過去，工作室交出的成果寥寥，只有在TGA上發布的首部作品《Gang of Dragon》的宣傳PV，由韓國影星馬東錫主演，黑幫風格濃郁，確實曾一度引發玩家期待。
但誰也沒想到，這段短短兩分鐘的預告片，竟成為該項目「最後的絕唱」。
名越工作室方面表示，若要完成《Gang of Dragon》的開發，至少還需要追加約70億日元的投資，這一數字直接把國內的投資方嚇得「全面終止資助」了。
員工被告知外部投資終止後，工作室開始尋找替代方案，但始終未能找到新的投資方。
如今工作室官方YouTube頻道清空後註銷，所有影片（含《Gang of Dragon》預告片）一併消失，官方網站無法訪問，谷歌地圖將工作室位於東京惠比壽的辦公地址標註為「永久停業」。
而且目前，名越稔洋本人的個人社交媒體賬號處於長期沉默狀態，截至發稿，名越稔洋本人仍未現身。
