根據Robinson的說法，任天堂並非完全沒來，只是沒有獨立的大展台，可能會與其他參展廠商合作展出。此外，「沒有遊戲」並不是完全沒有，只是數量很少。而最值得關注的《薩爾達：王國之淚》也將在E3之前發售。

至於Xbox，Robinson則透露微軟減少了營銷預算，大規模的裁員可以證明的這一點。他還猜測，Xbox會將有限的資金放在XGP而不是宣傳活動上。有消息稱，微軟仍在就參與本次活動進行有關談判，可能會以商業和媒體代表的身份參與。
