9月12日，IGN官方推特帳號發布了一條介紹《軌跡》系列的推文，回顧了該系列的發展歷程。然而，由於推文中出現多處名稱錯誤，引發玩家嘲笑。

IGN在推文中表示，《軌跡》系列始於2004年的《Sora no Kiseki（Wonder in the Sky）》，並稱其英文本地化名稱為《Trails in the Sky》。同時，IGN還邀請玩家查看包含系列全部作品的IGN遊戲列表。
不過，這條簡短介紹隨後遭到玩家指出存在翻譯和校對問題。
首先，玩家指出IGN將開發商日本Falcom寫成了「Nihon Falcon」。《軌跡》系列的開發公司正確名稱應為「Nihon Falcom」，而非「Nihon Falcon」。Falcom是日本老牌遊戲公司，自1981年成立以來，推出了多個知名RPG系列。
此外，玩家還指出，IGN在解釋《Sora no Kiseki》名稱時使用了「Wonder in the Sky」的翻譯存在問題。「Sora no Kiseki」官方英文名稱為《Trails in the Sky》，其中「Kiseki」對應的是「軌跡（Trail）」的含義，而非「奇蹟（Wonder）」。

截至目前，IGN官方尚未針對該推文中的錯誤進行公開回應或修改。
