《戰地風雲》系列現負責人Vince Zampella於2025年12月21日在美國加州洛杉磯北部因車禍不幸離世，享年55歲。作為遊戲行業的老兵，Vince Zampella曾經參與創建了《決勝時刻》工作室Infinity Ward以及《泰坦天降》、《Apex英雄》開發商重生娛樂。
Vince Zampella可以說是一位擁有大量FPS製作經驗的業界老兵。其任職2005 Inc期間曾經擔任了《榮譽勳章：聯合突襲》首席設計師。2002年Vince Zampella聯合Grant Collier、Jason West一起成立了Infinity Ward並且開發了經典的《決勝時刻》系列。在與動視暴雪分道揚鑣後，Vince Zampella與Jason West一起創建重生娛樂並推出了《泰坦天降》系列。在被EA收購後，重生娛樂又推出了熱門大逃殺遊戲《Apex英雄》。
在《戰地風雲》系列遭遇困難之時，EA宣布任命Vince Zampella作為《戰地風雲》系列負責人，開始領導Ripple Effect工作室(原DICE洛杉磯)。
EA官方表示Vince Zampella的離世是難以想像的巨大損失。EA的心與Vince的家人、摯愛，以及所有曾被他作品觸動的人同在。
