近日，知名《惡靈古堡》消息人士AestheticGamer（也稱作Dusk Golem）發文透露了一些關於《惡靈古堡》系列登陸任天堂NS2的消息。
據他介紹，卡普空正在致力於將所有RE引擎的《惡靈古堡》遊戲移植到NS2上，其中就包括《惡靈古堡9：安魂曲》。另外他還提到了最近關於本周（9月12日）將舉辦任天堂直面會的傳聞，並且他表示，《惡靈古堡7》或許會亮相，不過他強調這一點只是小道消息。
(2/2) but that's a grapevine rumor, & I don't have good insight into Capcom's marketing plans. Just have heard very reliably several times now they're all coming to Switch 2 sooner or later, & that does include Requiem (so RE7, RE:2, RE:3, Village, RE:4, Requiem).

在後續推文中，他補充表示他多次從可靠渠道聽說像《惡靈古堡9：安魂曲》、《惡靈古堡7》、《惡靈古堡2：重製版》、《惡靈古堡3：重製版》、《惡靈古堡8：村莊》和《惡靈古堡4：重製版》這些遊戲遲早都會登陸NS2。
另外他還特別指出，這些移植都是運行在硬體上的原生移植版本，而不是NS1那樣的串流版本。
