隨著FTC的失敗，CMA再次開啟談判。微軟在收購動視暴雪這件事上距離勝利已經不遠了，作為這件收購案中一直作為反對方的索尼選擇接受微軟的協議。這份具有約束力的協議依舊是保證微軟收購動視暴雪之後，《決勝時刻》系列將會繼續登錄PlayStation平台，不過這次微軟並沒有提及具體有效時間。

微軟總裁布萊德·史密斯 (Brad Smith)表示從開啟收購動視暴雪的第一天，微軟就致力於解決監管部門、發行平台、遊戲開發商與消費者的擔憂。即使微軟跨過了這筆收購交易的終點線，微軟仍將繼續確保《決勝時刻》可以在更多平台上提供給更多消費者。

雖然如今動視暴雪的台柱非《決勝時刻》系列莫屬，但是微軟提供的協議也同樣只包含了《決勝時刻》。Xbox全球通訊主管Kari Perez向外媒The Verge證實了這一點，也就是說在微軟收購動視暴雪之後，包括暴雪的《暗黑破壞神》《鬥陣特攻》與動視的《古惑狼》《托尼霍克職業滑板》等作品到底登陸什麼平台，是否包含PlayStation的決定權依舊在微軟手中。
