近期發售的搜打撤遊戲《Arc Raiders》憑藉精美的畫面和良好的優化獲得玩家的好評，但這也同時引出了一個問題：同樣都是虛幻5引擎開發，為什麼Gearbox的《邊緣禁地4》卻偏偏優化這麼差呢?
一名玩家在X上發推說：「《Arc Raiders》竟然能在GTX 1080Ti顯卡上以90FPS運行，這太厲害了。然而，如果是跑《邊緣禁地4》，那麼你的PC很可能原地爆炸。同樣都是玩家喜歡噴的虛幻5引擎。說到底，還是開發者才是確保優化的關鍵因素，而非遊戲引擎。」
這名用戶補充說，《Arc Raiders》的開發商Embark採用的是修改版的虛幻引擎，其中不包含Nanite和Lumen。這兩個特性對性能有顯著影響。
