Sucker Punch的新作《羊蹄戰鬼》於10月2日正式發售,但索尼至今都沒有宣布該作的銷量表現。對比而言,前作《對馬戰鬼》,SIE在發售三天就宣布了240萬套銷量,成為PS4上銷售速度最快的原創IP。有玩家根據第三方的統計推測,《羊蹄戰鬼》表現實際上「相當糟糕」

根據數據,《羊蹄戰鬼》在Twitch上的觀看人數在短短5天內從峰值的11.1萬人暴跌到不到1.3萬人,而谷歌的趨勢數據顯示,即使在周末,熱度也持續下滑——這對遊戲來說是最糟糕的情況。


幾個關鍵推測:
1)儘管最初觀眾人數激增,但這種關注並沒有轉化為銷量或持續興趣,這可能是因為遊戲本身表現平平。
2)熱度迅速下滑說明口碑傳播徹底失敗,大多數在社交媒體上談論這款遊戲的人都在勸人別買。
3)發售後不久,宣傳推廣就停止了。這表明SIE為了保留現金儲備,停止了廣告投放。結果遊戲很快就在社交媒體上從熱門中消失。
4)所有的宣傳重點都集中在與核心玩法無關的內容上,比如劈竹、釣魚和做飯。這說明公司自己也清楚遊戲核心玩法乏力,無法像《對馬戰鬼》那樣打動玩家。
5)幾乎沒有水軍或花錢雇來的吹捧賬號在推這款遊戲。
